Nidus is a leader in evidence-based healthcare facility design—an increasingly prevalent trend built on research suggesting that design can improve health outcomes by increasing safety and reducing stress among patients, their families and staff.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
The redevelopment of the Pierce-Arrow Administration Building

LATEST NEWS
After several months of planning, developer Greg Daniel is ready to give Buffalo officials a close up look at his proposed $17 million, mixed-use building on Jefferson Avenue.
Daniel will present the project to the Buffalo Planning Board on May 17. He is proposing to demolish a vacant, former supermarket at 1507 Jefferson Ave. and replace it with a four-story building with 43 apartments and a community health care center.
The project is on a stretch of Jefferson Avenue between Dodge Street and West Delavan Avenue and is developed by Kanaka 1507 LLC, one of Daniel’s affiliates.
“It will have a major, positive impact on Jefferson Avenue and the East Side,” Assemblywoman Crystal Peoples-Stokes said.
Designed by Silvestri Architects, the apartments will feature a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
Daniel is also bringing in the Nyamekye Health Services, a 13,563-square-foot health-care clinic.
“This is a service that is sorely needed on the East Side,” Peoples-Stokes said.
The clinic will include an urgent care center and specialists dealing with issues such as diabetes and cardiac care.
Daniel is developing the project on Jefferson Avenue across from Bellamy Commons, a senior housing complex developed by Herbert Bellamy Jr. and near a recently opened People Inc. apartment complex.
Daniel expects to start construction later this year and have it completed by late 2022.
